The best reading assignment that I've had, I would say would have to be anything in poetry or anything classical and the reason being is because poetry has many interpretation, its just the question of which one will you pursure? The classical works are things that anyone, from any sort of walk of life can relate to and that is the reason as to why they have lasted for so long, you metion a single title of one and it will more than likely be known. The texts of poetry or anything classical still show a human and a nonhuman connection, they offer revisited places that one would only dream about, they show human characterists that one desires, they are places to get lost in that have been loosing people for ages, and i can relate to these types of works on many degrees.
